Magnum Electric is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Specialist to lead safety management for our projects in Ellendale, ND. The role emphasizes ownership of site-wide safety performance and proactive risk mitigation.

You will oversee regulatory compliance, lead inspections, investigations, training, and reporting, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with regulatory agencies to ensure safe, efficient project execution across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in occupational safety, preferably in construction.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations across all projects.
• Lead safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents and near misses to determine root causes and prevention measures.
• Prepare reports on safety performance, trends, and recommendations to leadership.
• Deliver safety training and mentor junior staff on best practices.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, or claims.
• Manage workers’ compensation claims and maintain audit-ready records.
• Review and help develop site safety plans, job hazard analyses, and emergency action plans.
• Share industry best practices across project teams.
