Job summary

Chicago Shakespeare Theater is seeking a talented HR Generalist to support the Director of Human Resources and oversee a wide range of HR functions for CST employees, performers, and visiting artists.

The role focuses on benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and HR data integrity in Paycom. The ideal candidate is process-oriented, discreet, and collaborative across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
• Minimum 3 years of HR experience.
• Experience with HRIS/Paycom and ATS is desired.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Theater or performing arts experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer HRIS and payroll data in Paycom; generate reports.
• Manage benefits enrollment and compliance tasks.
• Coordinate recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Support employee relations and policy implementation.
• Maintain HR records and department communications.
