Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an HR Assistant for a fully onsite, 6-month contract-to-hire role in Seattle, WA. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to onboarding, recruiting, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and HR operations while working closely with an experienced HR Manager.

The role offers a daytime schedule, onsite parking, and the potential to extend or convert based on performance. Candidates must be comfortable onsite and pass pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• 6+ months to 1 year of Human Resources experience or HR-related degree.
• Experience supporting onboarding, recruiting, or HR administration.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with ATS or HR systems such as Workday, Greenhouse, BambooHR, or similar.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and facilitating new hire onboarding.
• Supporting full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions.
• Screening candidates and scheduling interviews.
• Assisting with employee relations matters and responding to questions.
• Maintaining personnel files and HR records.
• Supporting benefits administration and employee communications.
• Assisting with payroll processing and related recordkeeping.
• Updating HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
• Ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Partnering with supervisors and production leaders on workforce needs.
• Providing general administrative support to HR.
