Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health is seeking a detail-oriented HIM ROI Call Center professional to safeguard patient privacy and manage medical records in a compliant, efficient manner. The role requires handling releases of information with strict adherence to HIPAA and related regulations.

You will compile and maintain hospital and clinic records, prioritizing requests, and ensuring accurate processing while adhering to policy and billing requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Associate's degree, training in Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy.
• RHIT certification preferred by AHIMA.

Responsibilities

• Safeguards patient privacy and ensures HIPAA compliance for information releases.
• Compiles, processes, and maintains medical records per policy and regulatory requirements.
• Prioritizes release of information, retrieves records from multiple locations, tracks and delivers records electronically.
• Performs self-quality checks to ensure accuracy of release, confidentiality and billing/charging.
• Work under minimal supervision in fast-paced environment with decisive judgement.
