Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred.
• RHIT certification preferred by AHIMA.
• Minimum 2 years' related experience requested.

Responsibilities

• Safeguards patient privacy and ensures HIPAA compliance in all information releases.
• Maintains and processes medical records per legal, regulatory, and hospital policy requirements.
• Prioritizes and tracks release of information requests across locations to ensure timely delivery.
• Performs self-audits to ensure accuracy of releases, confidentiality and billing/charges.
• Operates in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and independent judgment.
