Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for a fully onsite contract position in Brea, CA. The role focuses on processing vendor invoices, matching three-way documents, and ensuring accurate accounting entries while collaborating across internal teams.

Ideal candidates have 1 year in accounts payable, experience with invoices and POs, ERP familiarity, and high-volume data entry capabilities; pay ranges at $24.00–$25.00 per hour plus benefits as eligible.

Qualifications

• Experience with invoices and PO's.
• Comfortable with ERP software.
• Experience with high volume data entry.

Responsibilities

• Review and process vendor invoices by verifying coding, pricing, supporting documentation, and overall accuracy before entering them into the accounting system.
• Match invoices with corresponding purchase orders and receiving documents, ensuring proper three-way matching and promptly resolving any discrepancies.
• Record and maintain accurate accounting entries, including preparing adjustments and corrections when necessary.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and manage monthly payment processes for assigned suppliers.
• Review vendor statements regularly, investigate outstanding issues, and coordinate resolutions with vendors, warehouse personnel, and internal departments.
• Maintain organized electronic vendor files and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and audit requirements.
• Assist with organizing work orders and ensure supporting records are properly matched, coded, and filed.
• Support month-end close activities and routine accounting tasks as requested by the accounting leadership team.
• Handle high-volume invoice processing, typically between 150 and 350 invoices per week, with a strong focus on accurate data entry.
• Work effectively with purchase orders and inventory receipts to ensure accurate recording of transactions.
