Job summary

Harnish Group Inc. in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Helpdesk Technician to provide Tier 1-2 support for internal and client systems, in a hybrid on-premises and cloud environment. You will configure devices, resolve issues, and maintain assets across AD, Azure, O365, and related services.

This in-office role requires strong communication, 2+ years of experience, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds and travel about 10% to regional remote branches.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in a service/helpdesk role at Tier 1-2 or 1+ years with related education.
• Not remote; in-office role with regular computer use.
• Ability to diagnose advanced technical issues involving troubleshooting hardware, software, and tools.
• Familiarity with administering AD/Azure AD/Office 365/SharePoint/Exchange/Teams/Hyper-V/Windows Server environments.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide accurate support information to users.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry objects weighing 20–60 pounds and occasional travel to regional remote branches (~10%).

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure computers, applications, and peripherals for new employees and contractors.
• Provide in-depth Tier 1-2 support to staff and contractors using HGI hardware and software.
• Document issues and escalate to higher tiers as needed.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and knowledge base.
• Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory, Azure Entra, O365, and Azure environments.
• Provide regular training/workshops for staff on HGI business applications.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of major operating systems, platforms, hardware, and software.
• Develop relationships with cross-functional teams and support others as needed.
• Perform additional tasks as requested by supervisor.
