Hansen Gress, an Alaska-based MSP, seeks an entry-level Level 1 Help Desk Technician to join our on-site team in Alaska. You will be the first point of contact, triaging tickets, and learning alongside Level 2/3 technicians to escalate and resolve issues.

Qualifikationen

• 0–2 years of IT career experience or related certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar).
• Basic familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office/365.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (router/switch, IP addresses).
• Willingness to learn new software, ticketing systems, and knowledge base tools quickly.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the first point of contact for Help Desk tickets, calls, and client requests.
• Keep ticket queue triaged and reviewed; limit aging/idle tickets.
• Clarify issues with clients before troubleshooting to ensure the right problem is being solved.
• Triage and resolve common issues (password resets, lockouts, printer issues, basic hardware/software troubleshooting).
• Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2/3 with clear notes for the next technician.
