Job summary

SteerBridge is seeking a Construction Manager – Construction Administrator for onsite management of VA healthcare facility upgrades in Muskogee, OK. You will serve as the COR liaison, oversee submittals, RFIs, schedules, and field inspections to ensure compliance with VA standards and codes.

You will manage project delivery while minimizing disruption to patient care, coordinating with the contractor and commissioning teams, and supervising the contract team on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture or 3 years of related construction experience.
• Minimum of three years of progressively responsible construction experience with knowledge of QA, safety, schedule, cost, and change management.
• Experience identifying construction deficiencies and presenting three similar projects demonstrating relevant construction management capability.
• Knowledge of building systems applicable to commercial, institutional, or healthcare facilities.
• Working knowledge of VA design criteria, building codes, life safety codes, and construction standards.
• Proficiency reading/interpreting construction documents and communicating with project teams.
• Ability to manage facility construction projects including supervision of engineering, design, scheduling, cost control, and budgeting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and VA CM software/Autodesk Build tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Contractor’s point of contact with the COR across all project phases.
• Provide construction management and admin oversight from planning through closeout.
• Coordinate submittal review processes and ensure contractor compliance.
• Review RFIs, submittals, and material methods for VA standards and codes.
• Monitor schedules, milestones, and inspections; coordinate field issues.
• Support commissioning activities per the Whole Building process.
• Attend progress meetings and maintain records for conflict resolution.
• Lead the on-site contract team and ensure adherence to terms.
