Job summary

SteerBridge in the United States seeks a Construction Manager – Electrical Engineer (CM-EE) to provide electrical engineering and construction management support for a diverse portfolio including Veterans Affairs Medical Facilities. The CM-EE acts as the owner's representative for planning, design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and closeout in a live healthcare setting.

The full-time, on-site role is located in Huntington, WV.

Qualifications

• Current professional licensure as an engineer is required.
• Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Government's owner’s representative for electrical engineering on all project phases.
• Provide construction management and technical support during planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Review plans, specs, submittals, RFIs, change requests, schedules, and documentation for completeness and compliance.
• Evaluate field conditions and electrical systems, identify deficiencies and risks, and advise on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with VA staff, architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain progress.
• Participate in planning, constructability reviews, site investigations, and risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate project records, logs, and correspondence per VA and contract requirements.
• Support changes, schedule/cost impacts, and contractor claims analysis.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and VA requirements in occupied healthcare environments.
