Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking an Engineering Manager, Hardware to lead a high-performing hardware engineering team in creating innovative, reliable hardware for motion and control technologies. This onsite role will manage electrical/electronic hardware design, embedded systems integration, device controls, and product validation to meet customer and regulatory objectives.

The position requires strong technical leadership, people management, and cross‑functional coordination, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering is required.
• Five+ years of engineering experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with hardware design, embedded systems, and product validation is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for assigned hardware engineering team(s), including electrical hardware, electronics, embedded firmware coordination, product validation, and related technical functions.
• Manage, coach, and develop direct reports responsible for hardware design, electrical engineering, PCB development, component selection, hardware validation, and related engineering activities.
• Translate product, customer, business, regulatory, safety, cybersecurity, and technical requirements into hardware engineering plans, priorities, schedules, resource assignments, and deliverables.
• Lead hardware development activities for new products, product improvements, sustaining engineering, cost reduction, quality improvement, production support, and field issue resolution.
• Ensure hardware engineering projects meet established objectives for cost, schedule, technical performance, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, safety, compliance, cybersecurity, and customer satisfaction.
