GE Vernova seeks a Government Project Financial Analyst to support financial execution of Government contracts in the Power Conversion and Storage division in Pittsburgh. The role emphasizes independent analysis, compliance, forecasting, and reporting to sustain strong project performance.

The candidate will oversee budgets, cash flow, invoicing, and cost controls while collaborating with PMs and Operations to deliver accurate financial insights and improvements.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in project finance, project accounting, or financial analysis.
• Experience supporting Government contracts.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to operate with high independence and limited supervision.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial control activities for Government contract projects within the PCS portfolio.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, actuals, cash flow, and margin performance.
• Prepare and present monthly financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Government contracting regulations and internal controls.
• Partner with PM, Operations, Accounting, and Leadership to provide financial insights.
• Identify financial risks/opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Manage full billing cycle and ensure timely invoicing per contract terms.
• Oversee revenue recognition, cost validation, and contract review processes.
• Support audits and reporting requirements.
• Drive continuous process improvements for financial discipline and efficiency.
