Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a GIS Intern to support renewable energy development across wind, solar, and battery storage projects. You will generate maps, manage spatial data, and assist cross-functional teams in legal, land, engineering, delivery, and origination.

The role requires currently enrolled students, a GIS background with ArcGIS Pro, and strong communication skills. The internship runs October 2026 through December 2026 with a hybrid in-office work policy.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a junior or senior working toward a graduate or undergraduate degree in geography, engineering or related field.
• GIS background and experience with ArcGIS Pro and other ESRI products.
• Interns must be enrolled students in good standing at the commencement of the intern semester.

Responsibilities

• Research, download, and process parcel boundary and constraints data; format publicly available datasets for renewable energy development
• Digitize existing and planned infrastructure from aerial imagery and public reports; create project-level maps and exhibits for legal agreements
• Support the web mapping platform, including developing web applications, construction trackers, and interactive dashboards
• Identify opportunities and recommend improvements to existing workflows and templates; assist in developing SOP and workflow documentation
