Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a GIS Intern to support the Grid-Scale Renewables team in Santa Barbara. The role focuses on spatial data management, map creation, and analysis to assist wind, solar, and battery storage development.

Qualifications

Pursuing a junior or senior degree in geography, engineering, or a related field.
GIS background with ArcGIS Pro and ESRI products.
Strong analytical thinking and ability to work in teams.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Research, download, and process parcel boundary data and constraints; format datasets for renewable energy development.
Digitize infrastructure from aerial imagery; create project maps and exhibits for legal agreements.
Support the web mapping platform, including developing web applications, trackers, and dashboards.
Identify opportunities and document SOPs/workflows for better efficiency.
Create project-level maps and exhibits for legal agreements.
