Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell systems in electric lift trucks. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose breakdowns, and install/retrofit fuel cells at a defined location. Strong communication with customers and safety mindset are essential.

The role requires adapting to field conditions, reporting issues, and coordinating parts and tool logistics. You must have a valid driver's license and be able to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with electrical coursework.
• 3+ years in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to lift 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and evaluate fleet performance.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades.
• Provide on-call and emergency support.
• Procure tools, equipment and parts for service.
• May troubleshoot and maintain high-pressure hydrogen storage systems.
• Communicate with customer personnel and hydrogen suppliers as needed.
• Maintain service logs and documentation.
• Follow safety procedures in the field or at sites.
• Travel as required and drive safely.
• Represent Plug Power professionally at all times.
