Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Technician to support on-site turbine operations in the Colorado wind hub. The role involves daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components to ensure optimal turbine performance.

You will collaborate with site leadership to meet contract requirements and promote safety and reliability. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and 1+ year wind tech experience or a wind certificate/Associates degree, plus

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trainee/wind certification or degree acceptable.
• 1+ year wind tech experience or wind cert program/associates degree or 2 yrs electrical work.
• Must pass Technical Knowledge Assessment and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with site & hub leadership to execute contractual obligations daily, including electrical and mechanical equipment used in GE wind turbine generator.
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch & variable speed turbines.
• Help in all areas of site operations with minimal supervision; observe safety requirements.
• Document all work using service reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with GE’s remote operations center when necessary.
