Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a Field Service Technician based out of Elko, NV, to perform comprehensive maintenance, inspection, and repair on a range of mining equipment.

You will diagnose issues in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, replace faulty parts, and conduct rigorous testing to ensure uptime and safety. Collaboration with field teams and adherence to safety protocols are essential in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Two years field service experience in mining or heavy industrial equipment preferred.
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship or one year of technical college in mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, servicing, and inspection on mining equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Replace defective parts and components at customer sites with high workmanship standards and safety compliance.
• Test repaired equipment to verify performance before returning to operation.
• Collaborate with field service teams to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in demanding environments.
• Utilize motor controls knowledge and schematic reading to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Demonstrate proficiency in aligning motor couplings, transfer cases, and gearboxes.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs for continuous improvement.
