Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a Field Service Technician based in Elko, NV. The role focuses on maintenance, inspection, and repair of mining equipment to ensure safety and performance at customer sites.

You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, repair or replace parts, and test equipment to verify reliability. Team collaboration and strong safety discipline are essential to succeed.

Formación

• Two years of experience in a related technical service role.
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent of at least one year of technical college.
• Working knowledge of motor control systems and the ability to read schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience aligning motor couplings, transfer cases and gearboxes.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with good communication.
• Commitment to safety and travel flexibility.

Responsabilidades

• Perform thorough maintenance, repair, servicing, and inspection activities on a wide range of mining equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
• Diagnose issues related to mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
• Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts at customer sites, maintaining high safety standards.
• Conduct rigorous testing of repaired equipment to verify performance before returning to operation.
• Collaborate with field service teams to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion.
• Utilize knowledge of motor controls and schematics to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Demonstrate proficiency in mechanical alignments of couplings, transfer cases, and gearboxes.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs for continuous improvement.
