Job summary

Segra is seeking a qualified Field Service Engineer in Columbia, SC, for a full-time, in-office on-site role. The position manages day-to-day network activities, including installation, commissioning, circuit turn-up, testing, and customer-premise equipment operations.

On-call duties may be required. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of telecom equipment experience, familiarity with Cisco/Ciena gear, and an associate degree or related technical field.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of telecom equipment such as Cisco and Ciena.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working with telecom equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission equipment and perform circuit/node turn-up and testing.
• Handle customer premise equipment and related network testing and troubleshooting.
• Perform on-call duties as required and collaborate with customers and service teams.
• Understand and operate industry test sets and fiber-related equipment.
