Job summary

Segra is seeking a Field Service Engineer for an in‑office, on‑site role in Greensboro, NC. The candidate will handle installation, commissioning and testing of telecom equipment, including routers, switches, and ONT devices, while supporting transport and IP networks.

On‑call duties may be required. Qualifications include at least 2 years with telecom gear, knowledge of Cisco/Ciena devices, and an associate or technical degree; Office 365 familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of telecom equipment and minimum 2 years of experience.
• Ability to operate advanced test sets (DS1‑100G), OTDR and fiber scopes; read engineering documents.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission telecom equipment and circuits at customer sites.
• Turn‑up and testing of circuits/nodes; troubleshoot IP/Data networks.
• Interact with customers, service technicians, and internal teams.
