Job summary

Segra is seeking a qualified Field Service Engineer (Columbia SC) to join our full-time team onsite. The role covers installation, commissioning, turn-up, testing, and maintenance of Ethernet networks and transport infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in telecom equipment, hands-on experience with Cisco and Ciena gear, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision. On-call duties and customer liaison are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with telecom equipment.
• Knowledge of telecom equipment such as Cisco/Ciena is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install & commission equipment; turn-up, testing, and maintenance of transport and IP/data networks.
• Perform on-call duties and assist customers, service technicians and other telecom professionals.
• Work with network equipment such as Ethernet NICs, routers, switches, and premises equipment.
