Job summary

Zobility in Michigan is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to assist customers with on-site troubleshooting, repair, assembly and startup of presses, plus customer training. You will read prints and schematics, test systems and propose maintenance or upgrade options to customers.

Travel is extensive (US, Canada, Mexico); you must be comfortable working in varied environments, maintaining safety standards, and delivering clear field reports and quotes.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic required.
• Heavy machine building experience required.
• Preventative maintenance and machine troubleshoot experience.
• Able to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Willingness to travel in US, Canada, and Mexico. This position is 100% travel.
• Must maintain a valid passport and driver's license including driving record.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Repair or assemble company products and equipment and various assemblies of parts of various types and sizes.
• Maintain familiarity with general machine assembly, including fluid technology, via training.
• Assemble via drawings, specifications, BOMs and instructions.
• Assist affiliates in determining required repair or spare parts.
• Perform and document Press Preventative Maintenance Inspections and PM protocols.
• Submit field reports to Field Operations Manager in a timely manner.
• Report unsafe operating conditions on presses in operation.
• Provide upgrade recommendations and practical advice from field experience.
• Develop service and parts quotes within SIC policies.
• Produce comprehensive service reports of activities and repairs.
