Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking an entry-level Biomedical Equipment Technician 1 to service customers in the Rapid City, SD area. You will evaluate, diagnose, repair, and PM basic biomedical equipment, driving customer satisfaction through service excellence.

You may assist more experienced technicians, communicate with customers, and follow GE policies while documenting actions and maintaining tools and spares. On-call may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Equivalent military education.
• GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program.
• High School Diploma/GED + 2+ years servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
• Analytical and communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• Willingness to be available after hours or on-call, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, evaluate basic customer biomedical equipment issues and perform repairs and PM.
• Assist more experienced technicians on basic and more complex repairs.
• Communicate effectively with teammates and customers.
• Follow GE policies, hospital protocols, and complete required documentation.
• Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and satisfaction.
• Work as a team member to provide efficient service within the assigned area.
• Document all repair actions and submit reports on schedule.
