Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician 1 to cover the Rapid City, SD service area. The role evaluates, diagnoses, and repairs basic biomedical equipment and performs planned maintenance to ensure reliable operation.

You will participate in on-call rotations, document actions, and maintain equipment and calibration, while upholding GE policies and delivering strong customer satisfaction to clients in healthcare facilities.

Qualifications

• Analytical and communication skills to explain technical issues to customers clearly.
• Willingness to be available after hours and rotate on-call shifts for critical issues.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and repair basic biomedical equipment.
• Perform planned maintenance and safety/environmental inspections as assigned.
• Assist more experienced technicians on complex repairs as needed.
• Document all repair actions and submit reports per schedule.
• Maintain calibration, tools, spares, and test equipment.
• Communicate effectively with customers and GE teams to ensure satisfaction.
