Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to respond to service calls, diagnose issues, perform repairs and planned maintenance on complex medical equipment. The role requires onsite work at customer locations, with residency in the Charleston area for local travel.

The position emphasizes strong technical knowledge, effective communication with customers, and adherence to GE policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience servicing medical equipment.
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to customers.
• Must pass background check and comply with immunizations and drug testing policies.
• Willingness to be available after hours or on-call as needed.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex biomedical equipment issues and perform repairs.
• Perform planned maintenance, safety or environmental inspections, and maintain customer relations.
• Document repair actions and submit reports as scheduled.
• Lead technicians on repairs and coordinate with site team.
• Manage spare parts inventory and calibration activities.
• Coordinate with vendors and ensure adherence to GE policies.
• Participate in after-hours/on-call coverage when required.
