Job summary

Cognizant is hiring an Onsite Field Services Technician in Raritan, NJ. This onsite role provides hands-on support for manufacturing and office IT systems, incident resolution, and preventive maintenance to ensure reliable technology operations on the plant floor and in the office.

The role requires 2–5 years of field support experience, Windows expertise, and familiarity with NetBackup and Rubrik. Occasional off-hours may be needed; site presence is required.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of onsite or field tech support, preferably in manufacturing.
• Windows-based system experience; basic Linux exposure.
• GxP environment experience.
• Knowledge of NetBackup & Rubrik.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for manufacturing and office IT systems (desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, RF guns, MLL PCs).
• Execute incident and request fulfillment, diagnose, troubleshoot, resolve, escalate per SLAs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and lifecycle tasks (TLM) including equipment replacements.
• Assist with AD, Network, NAS integration and site security/compliance processes.
• Assist with incident management and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Deliver application support by coordinating with owners and validating fixes at site level.
• Participate in local project execution (installations, upgrades, migrations, testing).
• Perform field services (IMAC, break/fix, spares handling, vendor coordination).
• Maintain IT infrastructure knowledge (wired/wireless, printers, RF devices, servers, storage).
• Keep tickets, asset records, and knowledge docs updated in TS systems.
