Job summary
Hatch Ltd. in Nashville, TN seeks an Electrical Field Engineer to support on‑site construction management with a focus on ensuring compliance with engineering design, codes and standards.
You will resolve field issues, assist with supervision, and provide technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.).
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive EPCM/industrial experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with technical bid analysis and recommendations as required
- Verify site data and conditions
- Coordinate local permitting technical requirements
- Manage and resolve cross‑discipline clashes in engineering deliverables
- Assist with the Field Engineering section of the Construction Execution Plan
- Assist with constructability input and on‑site monitoring
- Review Contractor CWP submittals including ITPs and Method Statements
- Provide technical assistance to QA/QC
- Review and approve QA test reports and documentation
- Provide technical assistance to Construction Supervision
- Review contractor monthly progress reports
- Manage field information requests and change procedures (RFI, FCR, FCN, ECN, SI)
- Develop, check, and distribute onsite purchase specifications
- Review contractor pricing and assist with change orders and claims
- Review contractor supplied deliverables including as‑built documentation
- Coordinate third party inspections with consultants and authorities
- Generate and/or check field sketches or red‑line deliverables
- Maintain onsite drawings and registers
- Review contracts for area of responsibility and resolve conflicts
- Verify construction work complies with codes and standards
- Conduct technical review at substantial and final completions
