Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Field Engineering Manager in Houston, TX to coordinate and lead on-site engineering efforts, ensuring alignment with design, codes, and project standards. You will act as the primary liaison with the home office engineering team and oversee cross-disciplinary technical issues on site.

The role requires a university-level engineering degree and a proven track record in major projects, with strong leadership and knowledge of construction practices.

Qualifications

• University degree/technical diploma in engineering or equivalent.
• Proven track record leading multi-disciplinary engineering on major projects.
• Knowledge of design criteria and construction materials.
• Proficiency with engineering software and systems.
• Understanding of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site engineering activities to meet project design, codes and standards.
• Lead field engineering team and supervise on-site engineering design during construction and commissioning.
• Provide technical support to Construction Management Team and Contractors.
• Manage field change processes and RFIs per Hatch procedures.
• Plan and budget training for project resources and ensure local permitting/inspections.
• Coordinate preparation of as-built drawings and document control for project close-out.
• Support health, safety and environmental requirements on-site.
