Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a Field Buyer in Dallas to ensure field requisitions are managed, quotes obtained, and inventory controlled in line with company policies.

The role requires coordinating with site management and vendors to maintain efficient receiving and staging areas. Responsibilities include reconciling expenses, managing vendor documentation, and serving as the main contact between project managers and the corporate office.

Qualifications

• Two years of construction experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and regulations.
• Strong communication with project managers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage the field requisition process and obtain competitive quotes.
• Oversee field receiving and inventory control.
• Ensure POs/IRs are completed timely and compliant.
• Coordinate with site management on receiving areas.
• Maintain local vendor accounts and required docs (W-9, NDA).
• Track inventory levels and coordinate with Yard Foreman.
• Reconcile Concur statements weekly.
• Communicate with corporate and onsite management as main contact.
