Job summary

Bryan Construction, Inc. is seeking a Site Safety & Health Officer to implement and enforce the project Safety & Health Plan on federal construction projects in Minot, ND.

You will serve as the on-site safety authority, performing daily inspections, leading safety meetings, and coordinating with project teams and government representatives to ensure a safe, compliant work environment. The role requires OSHA-30, CHST/OSHA-500 knowledge, and strong experience in safety program development,

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-hour training and construction industry awareness.
• Experience creating and maintaining safety programs.
• First aid/CPR certification
• Proficient MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
• Strong training and facilitation experience
• Experience ensuring OSHA minimum standards on projects
• Ability to review SDS, JHA/AHA, and site safety plans for subcontractors
• Competent person in at least three relevant areas

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site safety management and enforce the project safety plan per EM 385-1-1.
• Perform daily jobsite inspections and correct hazards immediately.
• Coordinate with USACE, subcontractors, and project management on safety matters.
• Prepare safety documentation, permits, and preconstruction safety reviews.
• Manage PPE procurement, safety equipment, and incident reporting.
• Lead safety trainings, toolbox talks, and SSHO program development.
• Maintain safety records, training documentation, and audit trails.
• Oversee SWPPP compliance and emergency response plans.
• Interface with USACE District Safety Officer and government agencies.
