Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) is seeking a Construction Estimator to support on-site projects at Moffett Field, California. The role focuses on timely, cost-effective estimates for construction, renovation, and facility repair, using plans, blueprints, pricing indexes, and materials data.

You will collaborate with project principals to ensure accurate cost proposals, track budgets, and support procurement, scheduling, and related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field with 5 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree.
• Demonstrated ability using various estimating, scheduling, and cost software programs to estimate jobs up to $3M in cost.
• Strong work knowledge and experience using scheduling software such as MS Project.
• Good understanding of Government construction contracting and safety/environmental regulations.
• Ability to pass pre-hire background and drug screen.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsabilités

• Estimates a wide variety of construction projects and sizes from drawings and SME input.
• Uses estimating software, on-screen takeoff software, and other tools to complete work.
• Develops proposal schedules with critical paths and major milestones.
• Obtains timely quotes for materials, labor, and services for cost proposals.
• Assists procurement with subcontracting, evaluates proposals, and analyzes scopes of work.
• Prepares and tracks purchase requisitions and change orders.
• Supports project team in cost/schedule issue resolution.
