Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Facilities Manager in Schaumburg, IL, to oversee daily operations and maintenance of a 41,000-square-foot facility. This fully onsite role requires a hands-on leader who works with vendors and internal teams to keep the building safe and well maintained.

The position emphasizes system oversight, preventative maintenance, and strong communication with staff. A 100% onsite schedule ensures close collaboration with colleagues and continuous operations.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of facilities management or operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
• Experience working with outside contractors and service providers.
• Ability to assess facility issues and provide thoughtful recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be comfortable working onsite and pass background/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities operations and maintenance for the building.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair schedules.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors and providers.
• Obtain quotes, evaluate options, and recommend solutions.
• Monitor building systems (HVAC, electrical, lighting, safety, security).
• Oversee the Facilities Supervisor and day-to-day onsite operations.
