Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Cedar Rapids seeks a Facilities Manager to lead a team responsible for operating and maintaining a portfolio of buildings. The role is on-site five days a week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 to 5:00, with on-call requirements and periodic travel to other Iowa sites.

The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial facilities management, with budgeting, vendor management, and staff development experience, plus a valid driver’s license. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3–5 years in facilities management.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Facility Management certification preferred.
• Experience in staffing, training, coaching and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees and conduct evaluations.
• Schedule and manage team activities and deadlines.
• Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings.
• Prepare and manage capital projects, budgets, and variance reports.
• Perform facility inspections following regulations.
• Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing.
• Lead by example and align with CBRE RISE values.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day issues.
