Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work ensuring community buildings, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

You will diagnose resident requests, perform repairs, and manage the make-ready process for leasing units while coordinating with vendors and ensuring compliance with safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools and be skilled in safe use of tools and equipment.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and communication to interact with residents and team.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from residents and routine upkeep by diagnosing defects and performing repairs per policy and safety standards.
• Oversees make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling, and coordinating vendors.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, buildings, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspects work by staff and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and assists in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
