Job summary

ConocoPhillips is seeking a Midland-based Facilities Engineer to design, operate, and optimize surface facilities and infrastructure across producing assets in the Midland Basin. You will work with operations, projects, environmental, regulatory, health and safety, and maintenance teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions that support production and asset value.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and collaboration across disciplines, with exposure to field and office work and opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or foreign equivalent).
• 3+ years of engineering experience in facilities, pipeline, or related fields.
• Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
• Ability to apply engineering fundamentals to support safe and reliable facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations, environmental, regulatory, health and safety, projects, procurement, and maintenance teams to plan and execute facility infrastructure.
• Provide engineering support for day-to-day operations, including normal, shutdown, and emergency conditions.
• Develop, review, and update operating and maintenance procedures for safety and efficiency.
• Support compliance with regulatory requirements and health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Support project lifecycle activities including scope, design, cost estimating, equipment selection, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Identify and develop facility projects to improve safety, operability, and production performance.
