Eye Associates of Vineland, part of Prism Vision Group, is seeking a Patient Service Representative for an onsite role located in Vineland, NJ. Occasional travel to other locations may be required; the position is non-exempt and involves inbound/outbound patient interactions, scheduling, and basic revenue cycle duties.

Qualificações

• Education: High School Graduate or GED.
• Experience: 2+ years in a patient-facing healthcare or customer service function preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; bilingual ability is a plus.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with patients, physicians and staff.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule and complete patient registrations for appointments with attention to policies and accuracy.
• Initiate pre-registration and verify demographics and insurance information.
• Verify insurance benefits and referral information.
• Obtain IDs and insurance cards and validate patient identity and coverage.
• Adhere to HIPAA standards for patient privacy.
• Facilitate smooth patient flow through the care process.
• Provide information on appointments, policies and payments at check-in.
• Offer upfront financial counseling and assist with payment plans.
• Explain financial obligations and collect funds per guidelines.
• Act as liaison for patients, physicians and staff to resolve issues.
• Notify relevant parties about appointments, referrals and prior authorizations.
• Train other patient services representatives and uphold company policies.
