Job summary

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company in Reading, MA, seeks an on-site Billing of Lading Amendments Specialist to manage amendments per customer requests while ensuring export/import compliance. You will coordinate with overseas agents to ensure timely, accurate corrections with minimal disruption to operations.

The role requires strong attention to detail, English at an advanced level, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• English: advanced.
• Strong attention to details.
• Organized, efficient, and able to manage time effectively.
• Strong customer service mindset, focused, and responsive.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Great team player.
• Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Communicates clearly with team members regarding workload, customer particulars, and problems.
• Manage bills of lading amendments according to customer’s requests timely with little to no errors generated.
• Ensure compliance with domestic and foreign export regulations.
• Provides revised Bill of Lading to customers for their review.
• Communicates with customers for clarification on amendments requests and for any additional information customer might need to know regarding correction requests.
• Communicates with overseas agencies to ensure corrections can be applied.
• Presence required on-site 5 days per week
• Performs other duties as required.
