Job summary

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is seeking a detail-oriented logistics support specialist to assist customers with their documentation inquiries related to export cargo shipments. You will coordinate between data entry teams and customers to gather missing information and provide shipment details and bills of lading on request.

You will liaise with overseas agencies for corrections, update bills of lading per customer requests, and support a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in similar role.
• Prior experience in in supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, etc.
• Strong attention to details.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Organized, efficient, and able to manage time effectively.
• Strong customer service mindset, focused, and responsive.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Great team player.
• Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Communicates clearly with team members regarding workload, customer particulars, and problems.
• Liaises between data entry teams and customers to ensure missing information is received and customer’s requirements are understood via Standard Operating Procedures.
• Provides shipment details and bills of lading to customers when requested.
• Communicates with overseas agencies to ensure corrections can be applied and cargo is available for release.
• Updates bill of lading according to customer’s requests with little to no errors generated.
• Performs other duties as required.
