Job summary

Pace Analytical Services LLC in Peoria, IL is seeking a Scientist 1 to perform hands-on analysis in our environmental testing laboratory. You will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, conducting analyses with GC, HPLC, ICP, and related methods to ensure data quality that informs environmental decisions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science
• Willingness to receive training in environmental testing
• Ability to work in a laboratory and follow PPE protocols

Responsibilities

• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality records
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other science related degrees
