Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale initiatives across multiple business units from our Cedar River Generation Station project. You will guide the program through initiation, planning, and execution with a focus on delivering scope on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• PMP certification preferred.
• 5 years of experience in project management managing medium to large sized, complex project.

Responsibilities

• Understands and utilizes the Alliant Energy project management methodologies and processes based on PMI for project delivery to achieve scope, schedule, and cost objectives, while managing risks.
• Determines business needs and deliverables, establishes and manages costs, resources, performance measurements, timeline, and technical objectives.
• Determines appropriate project resource and staffing skillsets and assesses strategies to reduce project risk.
• Manages applicable project contracts in conjunction with sourcing personnel.
• Ensures work is completed to specifications and on schedule as specified in the contract.
• Develops and executes communication and stakeholder management plans, including reporting of status, risks, and progress to stakeholders.
• Ensures training needs are met for project team members and users of project.
• Ensures smooth transition of deliverables after project completion and transitions to operational teams.
• Provides support and mentorship in change management and business consulting to achieve strategic objectives.
• May perform cost/benefit analysis and support feasibility.
