Job summary

Alliant Energy in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale projects from initiation through closure. You will apply PMI methodologies to achieve scope, schedule, and cost goals while guiding cross-functional teams and managing risks across the Alliant Energy Program and Project Management department.

The role requires strong leadership, governance, and stakeholder communication, with on-site responsibilities and potential travel to sites across the service territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• PMP certification preferred.
• 5 years of experience in project management for medium to large, complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Uses PMI-based methodologies to drive scope, schedule and cost objectives.
• Manage costs, resources, timelines and objectives for projects.
• Lead staffing decisions and manage project risks and contracts.
• Develop and execute stakeholder communication plans and reporting.
• Ensure project closeout, training, and transition of deliverables.
