Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead and manage capital projects within Regulated Generation. You will oversee safety, scope, schedule and budget, guiding teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure successful delivery of diverse facilities including solar, energy storage, and demolition projects.

The role requires 10+ years of engineering experience and strong PM skills, with responsibilities spanning planning, cost control, and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Engineering required or PE license as alternative.
• 10+ years of Engineering experience.
• Proven project management experience.
• Ability to work independently on broad assignments with data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage diverse projects within approved scope, cost and schedule.
• Provide guidance on project management strategies and practices.
• Review project documents for scope, plans, contracts, and submittals.
• Monitor budgets and initiate revisions as needed.
• Ensure change management documentation for scope, schedule and costs.
• Produce standard and ad hoc project status reports highlighting risks and mitigations.
• Coordinate field execution of capital projects with FE representatives.
• Oversee QA programs and contractor procedures.
