Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in engineering, construction management or related degree from accredited program.
• 7 years of applicable experience on construction projects or program management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment and work overtime on short notice.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance of all aspects of multi-discipline engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Establish project teams, coordinate activities of multiple disciplines, and ensure efficient utilization of staff.
• Manage all aspects of project communication.
• Lead RFP package development, bid and selection process, and scope of work documents.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, manage scope, and control project costs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding coordination, planning, budget finances, subcontracting, staffing.
• Manage the review, negotiation, approval, and execution of prime contracts and change orders.
• Lead internal and external project risk reviews and consult with Risk Department as required.
• Manage and approve internal and external reports, providing detailed, accurate project cost forecasts and accruals.
• Manage project controls efforts, including cost reporting, scheduling, and WBS establishment.
• Monitor progress on projects and provide input into areas of concern and direction.
• Responsible for managing contract closeout activities.
• Responsible for generating new business revenue by developing new client relationships.
• Adhere to Burns & McDonnell's safety programs, trainings, and policies.
• Participate in industry conferences and committees.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff.
• Responsible for QA/QC process adherence.
• Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
