Qualifications

• Paralegal certification or equivalent legal support experience in employment or civil litigation.
• Proficiency with LexisNexis and Westlaw for researching statutes and case law.
• Experience with iManage and PCLaw for case management and billing.
• Excellent organizational and detail-oriented work habits.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to draft clear legal documents.
• Knowledge of civil litigation procedures and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with all phases of employment law cases, including intake, document review, and filing preparation.
• Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law related to employment issues.
• Draft and review pleadings, discovery requests, subpoenas, settlements, and correspondence.
• Manage case files using document systems; ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
• Coordinate client interviews and witness statements with professional communication.
• Support litigation by preparing exhibits, timelines, and summaries for court proceedings or negotiations.
• Monitor deadlines and court schedules to ensure timely filings and compliance.
• Aid with compliance audits and internal reporting on employment laws.
• Collaborate with attorneys on project management to improve workflow.
• Stay updated on tribal law, UCC, workers’ comp, personal injury, family, securities, environmental, and immigration law.
