Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Melbourne, FL is seeking an onsite Electronics Test Technician to support product testing, documentation, and equipment setup. You will follow blueprints and test procedures to ensure specifications are met and records are accurately kept.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED with 1 year of related experience or an AS in Electronics Technology, plus familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations.
• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows blueprints, guidelines, and diagrams to meet product specifications and tolerance levels.
• Performs functional testing per part-specific pre-established test procedure.
• Monitors tests through completion, records test data, and services test equipment as required.
• Documents acceptance or failure results.
• Demonstrates proper use of hand/machine tools and test equipment.
• Loads and unloads electronic equipment in test beds.
• Adheres to quality systems and participates in continuous improvement (ACE).
• Meets deadlines as determined by team and project plans.
• Acquires required skill/knowledge/certification as needed.
• Performs safety and hazardous waste disposal procedures.
• Follows production schedules and quality requirements.
• Understands end use of manufactured products.
• Proficiently uses SAP and other business tools.
• Demonstrates initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule.
• Trains others for technical tasks as needed.
• Interfaces with other groups to resolve business issues and update stakeholders.
• Participates in waste minimization and audits.
• Requests tools and supplies as required by project.
