Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry, LLC is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead on-site coordination for utility-scale renewable projects such as solar, BESS, and wind. You will ensure electrical work aligns with plans, supervise QA/QC, and maintain safety and schedule while coordinating with EPCs and subcontractors.

This role requires travel across the United States, strong documentation, and mentoring junior field staff, with OSHA 10 safety training and a high school diploma (degree preferred).

Qualifications

• Electrical background with solar, BESS, or wind project experience.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades in a fast-paced field environment.
• Travel to project sites across the United States.
• OSHA 10 safety training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day onsite coordination with electrical subcontractors, EPC partners, and other trades on utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Oversee electrical installation, commissioning, and QA/QC to ensure safe, plan-aligned work.
• Conduct regular site walks to monitor progress and address issues to keep schedules.
• Review work plans, safety procedures, and schedules for electrical and general construction.
• Coordinate delivery, staging, and tracking of electrical equipment onsite.
• Support inspections, punch walks, and permit closeouts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate project documentation on site conditions, decisions, and progress.
• Identify risks, help solve field challenges, and assist in root-cause analysis.
• Represent AKS onsite and collaborate with clients, utilities, AHJs, EPCs, contractors, and communities.
• Mentor junior field staff and contribute to operational improvements.
