Job summary

Protolabs in Rosemount, MN is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to lead safety programs, drive risk reduction and ensure regulatory compliance across operations. This onsite role partners with engineering and production teams to protect workers and the environment.

You will investigate incidents, develop training, conduct audits, and manage OSHA, environmental, and safety reporting while promoting a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in relevant area with 2 years of manufacturing EHS experience.
• 2 years of experience conducting EHS inspections, risk assessments and promoting and monitoring workplace safety and environmental compliance.
• Strong knowledge of current and relevant Federal and State EHS regulations and best practices.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of Engineering, Operations, and Management.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs, new hire orientation, and awareness initiatives.
• Partner with leaders across operations to ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site audits, identify hazards, and drive corrective actions to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
• Lead Safety Committee activities, emergency response planning, and preparedness drills.
• Manage regulatory reporting, safety metrics, and documentation, including OSHA, SARA, and SDS requirements.
• Support and reinforce key safety programs, including PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, Hazard Communication, and Ergonomics.
• Stay up to date on regulatory changes and proactively implement improvements that protect employees, operations, and the environment.
