Job summary

Protolabs seeks an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to lead safety initiatives onsite in Rosemount, MN, protecting employees, operations and the environment. You’ll guide risk reduction, regulatory compliance and training, partnering with leaders to embed a culture of safety.

You’ll conduct audits, investigate incidents, manage reporting, and drive improvements across OSHA and environmental programs, including PPE and Lockout/Tagout.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in a relevant field with 2 years in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience in EHS inspections, risk assessments and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Federal and State EHS regulations and best practices.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication across levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs and new hire orientation.
• Ensure OSHA and environmental compliance across operations with audits.
• Drive corrective actions identified in site audits and risk assessments.
• Lead Safety Committee activities, emergency planning and drills.
• Manage regulatory reporting, safety metrics, and documentation (OSHA/SARA/SDS).
• Support key safety programs including PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, Hazard Communication, Ergonomics.
