Job summary

E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. seeks a Document Controls Lead to guide document management for a major natural gas EPC project in San Diego. You will oversee engineering docs, procurements, construction, commissioning, and turnover packages onsite five days a week.

The role requires extensive experience in document lifecycle management, coordinating with Owners, EPC contractors and engineers. Onsite work environment with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
• 10+ years in Document Control or Records Management on large EPC or industrial projects.
• Experience with utility/natural gas, pipeline, compressor stations, refinery or heavy industry projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering document lifecycle management.
• Experience managing drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, vendor documents, commissioning docs, turnover packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead owner’s document control for Compressor Modernization Project.
• Develop and maintain document control procedures and workflows.
• Manage lifecycle from engineering to turnover and closeout.
• Review submissions for quality, completeness and metadata alignment.
• Coordinate reviews, approvals, transmittals, distribution, and version control.
• Track deliverables, RFIs, submittals, vendor docs, as-built drawings, turnover packages.
• Maintain registers, status reports, and executive dashboards.
• Monitor KPIs and drive process improvements.
