Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking anEngineering Documentation Coordinator in San Diego to support EPC and renewable energy projects. You will review and organize electrical, structural, and civil drawings, coordinate across multiple engineering teams, and manage submittals and permitting documentation.

The role requires 0–3 years of related experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience in EPC, construction, renewable energy, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Reading, interpreting, and organizing engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience coordinating with project stakeholders and responding to comments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); ability to maintain trackers and reports.

Responsibilities

• Understand, review, and sort electrical, structural, and civil engineering documentation.
• Coordinate design between electrical, structural, civil, HV, and SCADA teams.
• Review, QC, and comment on engineering deliverables under guidance and supervision.
• Coordinate submittals between owner, owner’s engineer, and independent engineer.
• Maintain and organize project data rooms and file structures.
• Track and consolidate responses to comments and permitting questions.
• Support permitting process and submittal packages.
• Coordinate with SOLV Energy accounting for permitting and plan-check fees.
• Prepare meeting minutes and organize internal/external meetings.
• Maintain engineering schedules and project trackers.
